On Thursday, April 5th, Executive Producer Sam Katz and Producer/former Philadelphia Inquirer film critic Carrie Rickey will be screening their new documentary, Before Hollywood: Philadelphia and the Birth of the Movies at 6:30pm in the URBN Annex Screening Room. Following the screening, Katz and Rickey will lead a discussion on the film and Philadelphia’s impressive but largely forgotten contributions to American filmmaking. The event is free and open to the public.
