GoggleWorks Center for the Arts seeks to hire a Communications Coordinator. Celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, GoggleWorks Center for the Arts consists of a 145,000 square foot, five-story community arts center in what was formerly the Willson Goggle Factory Building. GoggleWorks features six large teaching studios in ceramic, hot and warm glass, jewelry, photography, and wood; 35 juried artists’ studios, exhibition galleries, and houses the offices of over a dozen arts, culture, and creative economy organizations. The complex also includes a 131-seat theatre, which presents art house films daily, a café, and STORE, which retails the work of over 200 individual artists from around the country. GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is currently hiring for the following positions.

Communications Coordinator
GoggleWorks Center for the Arts seeks a detail-oriented and highly organized candidate for the position of Communications Coordinator, who will assist in communicating the programs and offerings of GoggleWorks with the purpose of increasing visitor/audience engagement and maximizing the impact of GoggleWorks’ programs.

Schedule
-25-30 hours per week
-Compensation: $11-$14 hourly, based on experience
-The Communications Coordinator reports directly to the Marketing/PR Manager

Qualifications
-College degree and/or 2 years experience working in communications/graphic design
-Ability to work self-directed and within a small group; manage several projects at once and meet critical deadlines
-Highly organized and detail-oriented
-Ability to produce content in a number of different writing styles (e.g. newsletters, website content, blog articles, and social media posts) and have a basic understanding of consistent organizational voice and tone
-Strong foundation in graphic design and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite(Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) with portfolio to prove it
-Previous experience managing corporate or organizational social media accounts (Facebook,Instagram, Twitter) preferred
-Proficient in MS Word and Excel; working knowledge of WordPress preferred-passion for GoggleWorks’ mission and community

Responsibilities
-Ensure the timeliness of content on GoggleWorks’ website, blog, and social media accountsin a style and manner consistent with brand standards and tone and based on communications/content calendar
-Maintain database/tagging of contacts; draft and distribute electronic emails to targetaudience segments based on communications/content calendar
-Assist in promotions of recurring and special events through design, production, anddistribution of print, digital promotions
-Design & maintenance of onsite wayfinding signage and promotional communications
-Organizing & archiving GoggleWorks’ visual brand assets, including images, video
-Assist in the archiving of key communications, marketing, and pr throughout the year
-Assist in production of printed marketing materials (graphic design, content writing, proofing)
