FlockU in Philadelphia, PA is looking for an Associate Editor to edit site-wide, reviewing text, videos, graphics and social media content. Ideal candidates will be comfortable with a wide breadth of content, from college-focused issues to entertainment coverage to breaking news. This position will require editing a broad range of text and visual materials, so editors should have a wide knowledge base and be able to learn quickly. This editor will have impeccable news judgment, the ability to write witty, sharp content, high editorial standards, and have a strong sense for story structure. ** THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE **

Requirements:
– Impeccable writing skills that can be geared to the college set engaging readers with witty, smart, funny content
– Copy editing experience
– Love of memes
– Sharp writing and grammar skills and willingness to take edits
– A voracious appetite for content and knowledge of national and international news/ media orgs and the 18-24 demo
– Familiarity with web writing, SEO and AP style and content management systems
– An ability to work independently and be comfortable doing so at a fast pace
– An ability to brainstorm creative ideas in a group and have an endless supply of original ideas spouting from your ears
– Superior communication and organizational skills
