Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Operations Technician I (Temporary Video Technician) will be responsible for the maintenance of the Game Masters Exhibition: Supervise daily operations of exhibit and monitor all games for proper function. Reboot computers, troubleshoot and replace interface control devices and other parts to maintain proper operation of games. Perform preventative maintenance and routine cleaning of exhibit components. Order replacement parts and supplies; coordinate major repairs with vendors. Maintain records and write reports as requested. Assist with the installation and strike of exhibits as needed. Assist the Exhibits Operations Team with other maintenance and repair of museum exhibits including various electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and audio/visual devices. Support general TFI operations through participation in meetings as appropriate. Provide excellent Visitor Services, and perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director of Exhibit Operations.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma, 1-3 years of experience in installing, repairing and/or troubleshooting electronic devices. Related school course work or experience in electronics, mechanical, or computer technology field preferred. Ability to work with limited supervision. Effective oral and written communication skills. Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously. Responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks and focused on quality service to internal staff and external customers and guests. Ability to troubleshoot computer/microprocessor, electronic, electrical, and audio/visual systems. Be able to use a wide variety of hand and power tools. Able to lift and move heavy objects; walk in excess of three miles per day; and work from lifts, ladders, and high platforms. Ability to read basic blue prints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams required. Demonstrated use of soldering iron and multimeter required. History of reliability and impeccable attendance required.
